LIL WAYNE FT. PHARRELL - YES

You though T-Wayne was ill? Lil Phayne (say what?) should minus well record a whole album together if their natural connection in the studio is as dope as this unknown leak. I don't know if Skateboard P laced the beat on his own or had valuable input from Chad, but regardless the production on "Yes" is distinguishably groundbreaking as far as hip-hop goes.

The entire track sounds live a living imbalance of chemical waste, unhurriedly bubbling atop the surface but never becoming out of control. The reoccurring "yes" is sampled from Public Enemy's "Rebel Without A Pause" and Pharrell on the mic with auto-tune, which is automatically considered to be two no-no's, didn't bleed my ears as much as I expected. Do I hear Tha Carter IV, anyone?

Side note: After a couple of weeks of being neck and neck with Lupe in our current online poll, looks like Weezy is finally pulling away from his only real threat for good.
