If T.I. is the self-declared king of the South, than Ludacris is the undeniable royal innovator. When T.I. was prepping for the release his debut album in 2001, Ludacris' resume was already three projects deep and still going strong. With over 10 years of grace and turmoil in the music industry which go back to his teenage years as a radio DJ, Ludacris' legacy can arguably be ranked among OutKast, Scarface, and UGK as the South's most imperial majesties. And if done right, success can only bring more opportunities for greater fortune. After being praised for his appearances in high-scale movies and television shows, Ludacris now finds himself being recognized for something other than the mic. He appears on the cover of the November issue of XXL to explain the best of both worlds and how the sky truly is the limit.
As if the boxing action in Keri Hilson's video for "Energy" wasn't enough, Ludacris embarks on a couple of stimulated rounds himself for "Undisputed" with the help from boxing legend Floyd Money Mayweather. The music video is a loose play off of the movie with the same name and also features seven-year-old boxing sensation Bam Bam. Ludacris' drive and determination in his flow sound like he just stepped on the rap scene with so much to prove and very little to gain. Fortunately, it's the complete opposite. His sixth studio album, Theater of the Mind, is available everywhere on November 25th.
