KANYE WEST DROPPING FOURTH ALBUM IN DECEMBER

Just when the Kanye West love fest was slowly but surely beginning to diminish, in reality, it has just begun. Almost a year after the historical release Graduation, MTV UK is reporting that Yeezy is already planning on releasing his fourth studio album in December. Despite previous rumors, the currently untitled album will not be called Good Ass Job. The first single, titled "Love Lockdown," is suppose to be available on iTunes this Monday. In related news, Jay-Z will also be dropping "Swagger Like Us" on Monday through iTunes and is expected to release The Blueprint 3 during the fourth quarter as well. Talk about a one, two punch.

I highly doubt that any of this information will stay relevant during the next few months. I'm so sick of record labels scheduling hopeful release dates for albums after seeing them get pushed back time after time again. It's understandable if the first or second tentative singles don't perform as planned, but once the fourth and fifth singles roll around, the damage has already been done. It took seven years for Illmatic to go platinum. People just don't have the patience these days.

Bonus: Format Magazine dissects Kanye West's diary.
