Magical. That's the first word that comes to my mind every time I listen to The Foreign Exchange. Nicolay's graceful and harmonious production technique is incredibly mystifying and Phonte's God-given talent to go from a prominent lyricist to a talented singer is unheard of. When Kanye West sings on "Love Lockdown," his voice sounds like the tone of a rapper-turned-singer. With Phonte, it's clear that his voice was sincerely molded to sound like a real singer's melody. The album sampler for The Foreign Exchange's second studio album in over four years contains snippets from five tracks: "Take Off the Blues," "All or Nothing,"Something To Behold," "If This is Love," and "If She Breaks Your Heart." The digital version of the album will be available on iTunes on October 7th with the CD release following the week after. Nicolay + Phonte = magical.
